Completed September 10-16
- Installed Geo-fabric and base rock along First Street
- Completed 80% of backfill over new base rock and compacted new soil on First Street
- Continued building curb and gutter frames
- Poured concrete for the new curbs in the First & Main intersection
- Poured the three concrete colors for the First & Main crosswalks
- Completed the first new driveway for the Chevron station
- Began demolition of the asphalt between First Street & Foothill Expressway
- Completed removal of sidewalks leading to Foothill Expressway
- Created concrete forms for new signal light bases
- Crews will continue to work 10-12 hour days during the week and will continue to work Saturdays and Sundays
- Continue setting curb and gutter forms along First Street
- Continue pouring concrete for new curbs along First Street
- Complete final grading of the First & Main intersection in preparation for new asphalt
- Remove manholes from roadway adjacent to Foothill Expressway
- Install new manholes adjacent to Foothill Expressway
- First new asphalt layer will be paved in the First & Main intersection and 60 feet up First Street
- New traffic signal loops will be installed for the First & Main intersection signal lights
- Friday, September 23– Los Altos High School Homecoming Parade!
- Saturday, September 24– the 64th Annual Los Altos Kiwanis Pet Parade!
